In a complex and ever-changing world, executive coaching is the successful practice of expanding the capacity to lead.

Your Laurel Leadership coach is a learning partner who encourages, supports, and challenges you to examine your patterns, set your goals, and experiment with new behaviors.

While coaching is beneficial for leaders at any stage of their career , it is most commonly sought to provide guidance in the following situations:  

  • Transition. Coaching for leaders transitioning into a new role and/or a new company.

  • Transformation. Coaching for leaders seeking to transform and augment their leadership capacity by developing new behaviors.

  • Critical Role. Coaching for leaders in high stakes, “must-succeed” situations that require support to tackle decisions, opportunities, and challenges in real time.

Team Performance Coaching

A process by which a team coach works with a whole team, both when they are together and when they are apart, in order to help them improve both their collective performance and how they work together, and how they develop their collective leadership to more effectively engage with all their key stakeholder groups to jointly transform the wider business.

Team performance coaching is designed to help existing or newly formed leadership teams create a blueprint for success for themselves and for the organizations they lead.

We help expand the leadership capacity of the team as a whole by improving its efficiency and efficacy. 

Team performance coaching is usually considered when:

  • Teams do not meet their performance goals or are faced with challenging situations where they need to excel as a leadership team

  • Leadership teams that need to drive organizational change

  • Teams (or most of its members) are new and there exists a natural opportunity to instill best practices

  • Teams (task force or tiger teams) are established for short periods to provide solutions to urgent organizational challenges

  • The team leader is also in an executive coaching program

First, we focus on goal alignment, establishing team processes, and defining stakeholder responsibilities. Next, we review team dynamics, identify common values, and work to build trust among members.
